Updated information in SW Oklahoma City Walgreens homicide investigation – KFOR Oklahoma City

New information has come to light regarding the murder case at a Walgreens in southwest Oklahoma City. The incident occurred on February 16th, when an armed suspect entered the store and shot and killed the store manager, 36-year-old Gabriel Aronovich, during a robbery.

According to authorities, the suspect, identified as 21-year-old Omar Moreno, had been previously employed at the Walgreens location where the crime took place. It is believed that Moreno had inside knowledge of the store’s operations, which may have aided him in carrying out the robbery. Moreno was arrested on February 17th and has been charged with first-degree murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Investigators have also revealed that Moreno allegedly used the same gun in two other armed robberies that occurred in the days leading up to the Walgreens shooting. Additionally, a second suspect, 24-year-old Hillary Sandoval, has been arrested in connection with the case. Sandoval is believed to have been the getaway driver during the robbery.

The news of these developments has shocked and saddened the community, as Aronovich was well-known and loved by his colleagues and customers. A memorial service was held in his honor at the store where he lost his life, and a GoFundMe campaign has been started to support his family.

As the investigation into the murder case continues, authorities are urging anyone with information to come forward. The tragic incident has highlighted the need for increased security measures at retail establishments to protect employees and customers from potential violence. The community has come together to support Aronovich’s family and honor his memory as they seek justice for his senseless death.
