Early voting for the Nov. 5 general election in Oklahoma is set to begin on Wednesday, and the Oklahoma Election Board has outlined five important things for voters to know. The hours available for early voting are from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Wednesday through Friday, and from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday. Residents of Muskogee, Cherokee, McIntosh and Wagoner counties can cast their early ballots at their county election boards, while Wagoner County residents also have the option to vote at a local church or the Broken Arrow campus of Northeastern State University.
In order to vote early, individuals must present either an Oklahoma Election Board Voter Registration Card or a valid photo identification card issued by the United States government, the State of Oklahoma, or a federally recognized tribal government. Sample ballots can be accessed through the OK Voter Portal on the Oklahoma Election Board website, which also provides a comprehensive list of elections.
Voters who have any additional questions regarding early voting or the general election are encouraged to reach out to their respective county election board for further assistance. It is crucial for citizens to exercise their right to vote in order to have their voices heard and to actively participate in the democratic process.
