Oklahoma City Thunder reveal new City Edition uniforms for 2024-25 season

The Oklahoma City Thunder have revealed their new City Edition uniforms for the 2024-25 season. The black uniforms feature a prominent “Oklahoma” wordmark across the chest, paying tribute to the team’s first season in Oklahoma City in 2008-09. This design also drops the “City” from their previous City Edition uniforms, showcasing bright orange and yellow trim and various Thunder logos and wordmarks on the side panels.

The team’s senior vice president of business operations, Brian Byrnes, stated that the new uniform represents the progression and unique cultural renaissance of Oklahoma City, honoring the innovators that have shaped the state’s culture. The design was inspired by the optimism inherent in Oklahoma’s people and heritage.

Oklahoma City plans to use last year’s City Edition court for this season, as it debuted late in 2023 and was overshadowed by the NBA’s introduction of separate court designs for the In-Season Tournament. The Thunder will wear their new uniforms in six games throughout the season, facing off against teams like the Dallas Mavericks, Memphis Grizzlies, and Los Angeles Lakers.

Fans can expect to see the Thunder sporting their bold new look on the court, as they pay homage to the state and culture that has shaped their team’s identity.
