Family of missing Hawaii woman received ‘alarming’ text message before she disappeared in Los Angeles

The family of 30-year-old Hannah Kobayashi from Hawaii is desperately searching for her in Los Angeles after she missed a connecting flight to New York City, sent alarming text messages, and then went silent. Kobayashi stayed in Los Angeles for a last-minute flight and was last seen at The Grove shopping center. Concerning messages mentioned feeling scared and potentially being the victim of identity theft. Family members reported her missing to the LAPD and FBI, with the last contact being on November 11. Security footage in downtown Los Angeles shows her with someone, sparking concern. Relatives are focusing their search efforts in the Pico Boulevard and Hill Street area. Kobayashi did not have a history of mental illness, and her family is deeply worried about her well-being. A previous missing person case in Los Angeles involving Elsa Lam, who was later found dead in a water tank, has added to the anxiety surrounding Kobayashi’s disappearance. The family is working closely with authorities and the public to try and locate her as soon as possible.
