Santa Market Set to Celebrate 15th Year Benefiting Alzheimer’s Association
The annual Santa Market is returning to the Oklahoma State Fair Park this weekend, continuing its tradition of supporting the Alzheimer’s Association. Entering its 15th year, the event has successfully raised over $300,000 for the cause, as revealed by co-founder Megan Nye. "The Santa Market is just a super fun event," Nye expressed. "We get the community involved, and you can come get all your Christmas shopping done while supporting small businesses."
Shoppers can enjoy a vibrant marketplace featuring various local vendors, alongside special attractions such as photos with Santa. The first 1,000 attendees will also receive complimentary shopping bags, making the event even more festive. Admission and parking are free, allowing families to enjoy a day out without the financial burden.
A significant aspect of the fundraiser involves the sale of Alzheimer’s awareness shirts, produced by vendor Simpson Shirt Company. Nye confirmed that 100% of the proceeds from shirt sales will be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association. Last year, the market crossed the $300,000 milestone, and organizers are optimistic about reaching new heights this year.
The Santa Market will take place on Friday and Saturday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Oklahoma State Fair Park. This beloved community event not only fosters holiday spirit but also emphasizes the importance of supporting local businesses and raising awareness for a critical health issue.
