Pure Bean, a popular coffee shop in Rapid City, South Dakota, is gearing up for a big move to a new location down the road. The decision to relocate was sparked by Fork Real, a neighboring business, moving out of its space, prompting Pure Bean owner Nick Reid to seize the opportunity for a newer, bigger location that better suits their needs. The move is set to take place in a quick turnaround, with Pure Bean closing its current event space and roastery on November 30 and reopening at the new spot on January 2.
The new location will offer more space, a kitchen for lunch offerings, and a stage for future events, including music and movie nights. Despite the move, Pure Bean plans to maintain its close connection with loyal customers, including the School of Mines students who frequent the coffee shop. The new space will even have a section dedicated to the students with familiar features like an eight-foot table for studying. With the relocation just a block away from the current location, Pure Bean aims to continue serving their community with the same hours of operation at the new site.
The move signifies an exciting new chapter for Pure Bean, with plans for expanded offerings, including an enhanced lunch menu, more seating, and a variety of events to be hosted in their new space. Customers can look forward to a fresh experience at Pure Bean’s new location, set to open at the beginning of the new year.
