Double Murder Uncovers Alleged Crime Ring in Small Oklahoma Town
Freedom, OK – A brutal double murder earlier this year has shone a light on potential criminal activity in the otherwise quiet town of Freedom. The incident, involving 70-year-old Gary Bradt and 19-year-old Timothy Wilcox, initially reported as a robbery, may be linked to a larger prostitution ring, prompting the involvement of state investigators.
Bradt was found dead in his home on April 11, alongside Wilcox, a family friend who had been assisting him. Court documents indicate that Bradt had allegedly been paying for sexual acts, which involved two suspects who are now charged with the murders. This revelation has left Bradt’s daughter, Tabitha Robinson, grappling with her father’s hidden life and the tragic outcomes it led to.
Sheriff Anthony Robinson, Tabitha’s husband, suggested that the suspects were part of a prostitution operation potentially linked to larger criminal organizations, including drug cartels. He noted the challenges law enforcement faces in addressing such crime, particularly when victims may also be engaged in illegal activities themselves, leading to a reluctance in seeking help.
Text messages revealed prior to the murders suggest a premeditated plan to rob Bradt. Tabitha expressed heartbreak over the dual loss, emphasizing that Wilcox was innocent in this violent act.
Three individuals, Elijah Mann, Christopher Padilla, and Catelynn Gorre, were arrested in connection with the murders, along with Mia Davis, charged with prostitution, conspiracy, and aiding in the murders. The case is ongoing, with a hearing set for December 16 to determine if the matter will proceed to trial. The tragic events have left the small community in shock, igniting calls for justice and greater awareness of deeper societal issues at play.
