Former Philadelphia Eagles star Jason Kelce is set to host a new late-night talk show called “They Call It Late Night with Jason Kelce” on ESPN. The hour-long show will be filmed in front of a live audience at Union Transfer in Philadelphia and will air for five weeks, starting on January 4. Kelce expressed his love for late-night shows and plans to feature guests such as legends of the game, friends, coaches, and celebrities on the show.
The title of the show is a reference to NFL Films’ first full-length film, “They Call it Pro Football,” and pays homage to Philadelphia’s role as the birthplace of NFL Films. Kelce also revealed that the Philadelphia-based band Snacktime will provide music for the show.
Each episode of “They Call It Late Night” will have repeat airings on ESPN2 and will be available on ESPN+ and YouTube. Kelce, who retired from the Eagles last season, is currently in a multiyear agreement with ESPN and appears on “Monday Night Countdown” providing analysis. Kelce, who won a Super Bowl with the Eagles in 2018, also hosts a podcast with his brother Travis Kelce, which recently signed a big deal with Amazon’s Wondry. His new show is set to bring a unique blend of sports and entertainment to late-night television.
