No. 14 Texas Volleyball delivered a strong, sweep victory over Oklahoma with a standout performance from Madisen Skinner. Skinner recorded 21 kills on a .690 hitting percentage, leading the Longhorns to a 25-14, 25-15, 25-19 win in front of a sold-out crowd at McCasland Field House. The team will now head home for their final two regular season matches at Gregory Gymnasium against Tennessee and Ole Miss.
In addition to Skinner’s impressive performance, Reagan Rutherford contributed nine kills, Marianna Singletary added six kills and seven blocks, Averi Carlson dished out 35 assists, Emma Halter led with 13 digs, and Keonilei Akana had a strong showing with eight digs, two service aces, and one assist.
The Longhorns dominated the first set with a .467 hitting percentage and four aces, winning 25-14. They continued their strong play in the second set, coming from behind to win 25-15. In the third set, Texas jumped to a 15-6 lead and held on to complete the sweep, despite a late push from Oklahoma.
With this win, Texas improves to 16-6 overall and 10-3 in the season. Fans can look forward to exciting matchups against Tennessee and Ole Miss in the upcoming games at Gregory Gymnasium.
