The Utah men’s basketball team put up a tough fight but ultimately fell to Oklahoma State with a final score of 81-72. Despite early turnovers and a strong performance from the Cowboys at the free-throw line, Utah stayed within striking distance throughout the game. Ezra Ausar led the Utes with 18 points, followed by Gabe Madsen with 15 points and Mike Sharavjampts with 11 points.
In the second half, Utah improved in several areas, committing fewer turnovers and dominating in points in the paint and second-chance points. Ausar has been a consistent scorer for the Utes in recent games, reaching double figures in five of the last seven games. Utah will now prepare to face Colorado at home on Wednesday, February 5, as they continue their transition to Big 12 Conference opponents.
