The city of Columbus has appointed Jim Hartsook as the new Director of Information Technology, starting on Feb. 24. Having managed IT initiatives at Columbus Regional Hospital and Bartholomew County government, Hartsook brings a wealth of experience in modernizing technology and cutting costs. His previous accomplishments include setting up devices for medical practices and saving the county over $89,000 annually with a new phone system. With a B.S. in Education/Sport Enterprise Management from Bowling Green State University, Hartsook is dedicated to improving the city’s IT systems, introducing new solutions, and providing efficient service to the community. Originally from Lebanon, Ohio, Hartsook has been a resident of Columbus since 1998 and is a proud father of three sons. His expertise and leadership will be crucial in advancing the technological capabilities of the city and ensuring its continued success.
