The recent win showcases the program’s determination and depth as they battle through adversity this season, with a 5-3 mark in duals. The Stars are now gearing up for the Grand View Open in Des Moines, Iowa, followed by the Midland Open in Nebraska and the Baker Open in Kansas. The team is focused on preparing for the Sooner Athletic Championships in Fort Worth, set for March 1, as well as the NAIA championships in mid-March. The World Team trials in April are also on the horizon for the Lady Stars.

Co-editor Patrick B. McGuigan, who regularly covers sports, contributed to this report. Oklahoma City University, founded in the Wesleyan Methodist tradition, is located adjacent to the Uptown 23rd and Asian Districts in Oklahoma City. The women wrestlers are looking to build on their recent success as they continue to compete in various tournaments and championships in the coming months.
