Patty Gasso from Oklahoma named head coach of USA Softball team for 2028 Olympics


Patty Gasso, the head coach of Oklahoma’s successful women’s softball team, has been chosen to lead the USA women’s softball team through the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics. With eight national championships under her belt, including the last four consecutive wins, Gasso brings a wealth of experience and expertise to the national program. Having been involved with Team USA since 2018, Gasso is determined to bring home the gold medal in 2028 after past disappointments in 2008 and at the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.

The Olympic softball tournament will take place at Devon Park in Oklahoma City, where Gasso has achieved all of her national title victories. With a stellar record at Oklahoma of 1,515-352-2, Gasso’s success is expected to translate to the national team.
