Tulsa police arrested 53-year-old Rachel Odom in connection with the fatal shooting of her ex-husband, Ryan Davis, 53. Davis was found dead in his home on Feb. 13 with two gunshot wounds to the back of his head. Odom, who had fled to Oklahoma City with their 9-year-old daughter following the shooting, checked herself into a hospital and was later arrested by Tulsa police.
The arrest came after an Oklahoma City attorney, representing Odom’s family, received a call about Davis being shot. He contacted a Tulsa attorney representing Odom, who then went to her residence and found Davis’s body. Surveillance footage showed Odom leaving the home shortly after the shooting, with no signs of forced entry or a struggle.
Odom declined to speak with investigators and was booked into the Tulsa County Jail on a first-degree murder charge. Authorities stressed that an arrest does not constitute a conviction and that the investigation is ongoing.
The case highlights the tragic outcome of a domestic dispute and serves as a reminder of the need for resources and support for those experiencing similar situations.
