Three hostages have arrived in Israel

Three hostages released by Hamas have crossed into Israel after being held for 16 months. They include Sagui Dekel-Chen, Sasha Alexander Troufanov, and Iair Horn. The hostages were welcomed by crowds with cheers and Israeli flags as they emerged from Red Cross vehicles after being transferred from the Gaza strip. The hostages appeared in good condition compared to previous releases. Palestinian fighters gathered alongside Red Cross vehicles, awaiting the release of the hostages. Hundreds of civilians also gathered to watch the event. A banner by Hamas read “no migration except to Jerusalem.” Additionally, 369 Palestinian prisoners are set to be released in exchange for the three hostages as part of a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas. Hamas confirmed the impending release of the hostages in accordance with the ceasefire deal. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office received the list of names from Hamas. The hostages also include individuals from different nationalities, such as American Israeli and Russian Israeli. The upcoming releases will mark the sixth exchange under the ceasefire agreement.
