No. 16 Oklahoma Defeats Women’s Basketball Team

Missouri women’s basketball team faced a tough loss to No. 16 Oklahoma with a final score of 82-66. Senior forward Laniah Randle and sophomore guard Grace Slaughter both scored 12 points each. Slaughter has now achieved nine consecutive games in double figures. The Tigers showed a strong start with a close match in the first quarter but failed to maintain their lead in the second half.

Despite a strong showing in the second quarter, where the Tigers managed to score the most points in a half during SEC play this season, Oklahoma ultimately took control of the game. Slaughter continued to lead the team in the third quarter, but the Sooners were able to secure a comfortable lead going into the final quarter.

Missouri made several attempted comebacks in the fourth quarter but could not overcome Oklahoma’s lead. The game saw tied scores four times, with each team leading three times. The Tigers will look to bounce back in their next game against No. 8 Kentucky on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. The match will be broadcast on SECN+, and Missouri will aim to improve their record in the SEC.
