Oklahoma State’s baseball team at Stillwater completed a two-game series sweep of UT Arlington with a 10-4 win at O’Brate Stadium on Monday. The 16th-ranked Cowboys improved to 3-3 while the Mavericks fell to 2-3. Nolan Schubart had a standout performance, going 3-for-3 with two walks and driving in a run. Garrett Shull went 3-for-5 with a triple at the plate. Hunter Watkins earned his first win for OSU, striking out six in five innings.
After falling behind early, the Cowboys responded by scoring eight unanswered runs. Brock Thompson hit his first collegiate home run in the second inning, sparking the comeback. Schubart and Aidan Meola also contributed RBIs as OSU took a 4-3 lead in the third. The Cowboys extended their lead to 8-3 in the fifth, with Watkins pitching four shutout innings after the first.
The win sets the stage for OSU’s upcoming games against Abilene Christian and in the Astros Foundation College Classic in Houston. The team is gearing up for matchups with Tennessee, Texas A&M, and Mississippi State. The solid performance against UT Arlington demonstrates the Cowboys’ strength and determination as they look ahead to further challenges in the season.
