Bulldog Baseball Wins Game Two against Oklahoma Baptist


SWOSU Baseball bounced back from a tough loss on Friday by defeating Oklahoma Baptist 8-5 in Saturday’s first game. Eric Foufoulas delivered a game-winning hit in the eighth inning, with the bases clearing after a throwing error. The Bulldogs tied the game an inning prior, with Markus Coronado delivering a timely hit to plate two runs. Despite the win, SWOSU fell 3-0 to OBU in the series finale.
Next, the Bulldogs (9-7, 2-6 GAC) will play against the University of Science & Arts on March 4 before facing Southern Nazarene in Bethany over the weekend.
In the first game, SWOSU pitcher Josh Doelitsch had a no decision after striking out seven but walking three and hitting another four in 5.0 innings. Conner Watson and Jackson Blue also pitched in the game. Eric Foufoulas, Markus Coronado, and Reece Burke each had two hits in the contest, with the Bulldogs tallying 10 hits overall.
In the second game, SWOSU was shut out for the first time in the 2025 season, losing 3-0 to OBU. Pitcher Drew Fifer had a quality start in his longest outing of the season, pitching 5.1 innings. Tyler Fortin pitched the final five outs in relief. Despite the loss, the Bulldogs put up a strong effort.
