The upcoming International Training Technology Exhibition and Conference (IT²EC) in Oslo, Norway between 25 and 27 March 2025 will focus on accelerating the technology of tomorrow into today’s military training. Senior military adviser Air Vice Marshal (Retired) Gary Waterfall highlighted themes like artificial intelligence (AI), augmented reality (AR), and virtual reality (VR) as critical enablers of future military training at the event. With a global and Eurocentric outlook, IT²EC aims to understand the collective concerns of allied nations, with over 60 countries represented at the conference.

AI, AR, and VR will be driving the discussions at IT²EC, with a focus on how these technologies can enhance training for soldiers, sailors, and airmen. Waterfall emphasized the importance of using data in simulation training to inform decision-making and shape future training scenarios. Predictive analysis based on previous data can help in procuring the right equipment and clothing needed for training.

As Europe’s largest show dedicated to defence training and simulation, IT²EC is set to showcase exhibitors from various countries like Australia, Canada, America, Germany, Sweden, Norway, and the UK.
