The Oklahoma Foundation for Excellence has announced the Academic All-State honorees for 2025, recognizing 100 high school seniors from across the state. These students, representing 62 school districts, will each receive a $1,500 award, honor cord, and medallion. They will be honored at the 2025 Academic Awards Celebration on May 10th in Oklahoma City. The foundation encourages honorees to invite a teacher who has impacted their academic success to the event.
Since the program’s inception in 1987, the OFE has recognized 3,901 Academic All-State students from 342 school districts. This year, six schools are celebrating their first All-Stater. To be eligible, students must meet specific criteria, such as achieving high standardized test scores or being selected as a National Merit Semifinalist. The selection committee, chaired by retired educator Jan McClaren, evaluates applicants based on academic achievement, leadership, community service, and more.
The 2025 All-Staters scored an average of 33 on the ACT, with 12 achieving a perfect score of 36. Their average weighted GPA is 4.36, and 34 are National Merit Semifinalists. The OFE, founded in 1985, is a statewide nonprofit dedicated to promoting academic excellence in Oklahoma’s public schools. Through its Academic Awards Program, the foundation presents $175,000 annually to honor outstanding students and educators.
