Celebrity owned and endorsed restaurants are not new to Oklahoma, with establishments like Reba’s Place and Mickey Mantle’s Steakhouse already popular in the state. However, Cache can now boast of having its own celebrity owned restaurant, Wahlburgers, owned by the famous Wahlberg brothers – Mark, Donnie, and Paul. Situated in Comanche Cache Casino, Wahlburgers offers a mix of casual dining and gaming options.
Paul Wahlberg, the chef in the family, started the restaurant in 2011 in Massachusetts and now it has made its way to Oklahoma. The Wahlberg brothers chose to open Wahlburgers in the casino as they were introduced to the Comanche Nation by a group involved with Native American casinos and wanted to be supported by the community.
The restaurant aims to engage with the local community, supporting local baseball teams, military families, and youth programs. The Wahlbergs hope to expand their restaurant chain throughout the state but are focused on making their Cache location a success first.
Comanche Cache Casino also recently celebrated a grand re-opening, featuring an expanded gaming floor, open air veranda, convenience store, and gas station. General Manager Brian Weryavah highlighted the excitement and variety that Wahlburgers brings to the Casino and how it will attract more visitors.
The restaurant offers a wide range of menu items, with Mark Wahlberg’s favorite being The Our Burger. Guests are encouraged to visit Wahlburgers at Comanche Cache Casino to sample their delicious food and experience the celebrity-owned establishment.
