Former University of Missouri standout Marcus Denmon accused of armed robbery in Oklahoma

Former University of Missouri basketball player Marcus Denmon has been charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon in Tulsa County, Oklahoma. Along with Malik Denmon, Marcus was accused of ambushing a woman at an apartment complex in Tulsa and stealing $15,000 to $16,000 in cash as she was preparing to travel to a friend’s bachelorette party in Kansas City.

Surveillance footage showed a car rented by Marcus driving through the complex before the robbery and returning later that night. The car was rented three days before the incident and had suspicious cash deposits made in the Kansas City area. Both Marcus and Malik Denmon waived their extradition and will face charges in Oklahoma.

The police are urging anyone with information about the crime to come forward, and Crime Stoppers are offering a cash reward for tips leading to an arrest. The Greater Kansas City Crime Stoppers Tips Hotline is available for anonymous reporting.

This incident involving a former college basketball player has shocked the community, and the legal process will now determine the fate of Marcus and Malik Denmon. As details continue to emerge, residents are reminded to report any suspicious activity to local authorities to help prevent similar crimes in the future.
