Man falls to his death from Montana ski resort chairlift

A 37-year-old man visiting the Red Lodge Mountain ski resort in Montana tragically died after falling from a chairlift. Jeffrey Zinne was riding alone in a three-person chair when the incident occurred. He was taken to a local hospital and passed away the following night. The resort expressed condolences to Zinne’s family and friends, along with all those impacted by the incident. The Triple Chair lift had a mechanical issue at the time of the accident, prompting its closure and the use of ropes to safely lower over 100 people. The resort stated that safety is a top priority for their lifts and operations, with frequent safety measures in place. The Triple Chair will reopen once the resort determines it is safe to do so. Authorities are investigating the incident further, and both the resort and the Carbon County Sheriff’s Office have not yet commented on the situation. The community is mourning the loss of Zinne and working to ensure the safety of all visitors in the future.
