Legal Aid Services of Oklahoma, a member organization of OKVOAD, is offering help with replacing legal documents and navigating other legal challenges. The organization works closely with the Oklahoma Insurance Department for initial assistance with insurance claims, and can also help with more complex issues that may arise.
Christa Figgins, director of mission advancement for LASOK, emphasized the importance of having all necessary documents in order, as disasters often result in the loss or destruction of important papers. She praised the collaboration between various organizations in VOAD, stating that they are highly skilled partners in disaster recovery efforts.
The multi-agency resource centers will be available at different locations on March 21-24, offering support to those in need. The schedule includes stops in Mannford, Stillwater, Guthrie, and Little Axe. Oklahoma residents who have lost their homes or property in wildfires are encouraged to take advantage of these services to help them get back on their feet after the devastating impact of the fires.
