Applications now being accepted for controlled hunts throughout Oklahoma

The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife is currently accepting applications for controlled hunts for deer, elk, antelope, and turkey. Hunters can enter drawings for these hunts, which operate on a preference point system to increase their chances of being selected. One new feature this year is the ability to buy an extra Preference Point for each hunt category. Additionally, applicants can add more hunt choices for an additional fee. To apply, hunters should log into their Go Outdoors Oklahoma profile and select the “Controlled Hunts” tile. The deadline to apply is May 20, 2025.
