Oklahoma University has announced the appointment of Taylor Redd as the assistant general manager of the Sooners football program for the upcoming 2025 season. Redd, previously with The Athlete Group, will be working alongside new general manager Jim Nagy in managing the team’s roster, scouting players, and developing the recruiting strategy.
Redd brings a wealth of experience to the role, having worked as an area scout for the New England Patriots during their Super Bowl LIII run in 2018. He also has experience with college football programs, having worked with Wake Forest as a graduate assistant and director of player personnel.
Nagy, who joined Oklahoma as the general manager earlier this year, has a background as the executive director of the Senior Bowl and as an NFL scout. Together, Nagy and Redd will be tasked with overseeing the OU football staff and navigating salary cap issues as the program prepares for the revenue-sharing era.
The addition of Redd to the Sooners football program reflects the university’s commitment to building a strong and competitive team for the upcoming season. With his experience in both the college and professional football ranks, Redd is poised to make a significant impact on the program’s player development and recruitment efforts. Oklahoma fans can look forward to an exciting 2025 season under the leadership of Redd and Nagy.
